I thought, maybe I should try a text belt. I believe that the best way to thoroughly understand something is to copy a masterwork (with some personal touches) to learn how a master works, and then branch out when you have a good understanding of the basics. I had documented this text from an Old Believer belt, and decided to try weaving it with Old Believer-style motifs interspersed among the words. The text, in Old Church Slavonic, is a sweet little love poem.
