OK, so what happens if I try the same design with different colors? I don’t think I’ll have enough black thread, so I do it on white thread, wanting a strong red for the background. Yes, I think, a strong red in among the browns. Think of all of them together, each one as part of a larger whole. I still want the inside of the zig zag to be blue; that is clearly the magic part, the unbroken zig zag,. and the blue inside is protection.

I try stuffing only part of this one, it’s a disaster. OK, I learned something. The thread is old, weak, it breaks, and I try a head, this time copying the head of that somewhat disappointing tourist snake which Jim brought back two years ago for us to study. This snake’s head has a grin. Nice, but a bit small. But fine.
